Our Story
Airport Personnel and Placement Services (APPS) exists to fill a void in the aviation services industry and contract security industry.
While Mr. John Land, cofounder of APPS, worked as a manager for a local security organization that provided security licensed personnel and temporary escort/chaperone services to the Calgary International Airport (YYC), he identified the lack of trained individuals that could respond to labour shortages of contract security providers and Aerodrome partner companies.

Through networking opportunities, it was identified that labour shortages routinely affected partner organizations, increasing costs and reducing efficiencies.
After leaving his role, Mr. Land co-founded APPS with the goal of providing trained and qualified personnel to the aviation and contract security services industry.
